Walking with God, Not Transacting with Him

Let us pause from our busyness and think calmly for a moment:

Imagine a father saying to his child, “If your grades are bad, you are not allowed to eat.” Is that a good father? Of course not.

Or conversely, a child says, “If my grades are good, Dad must buy me a toy.” This is a transactional relationship—like buying and selling—and that is not the heart of our God.

Our Father’s heart (Mishpachah) is a heart that always provides for His children, even more than we ask. Yet as a good Father, He will also discipline us firmly—especially when we ignore His commands.

Why? Not because He wants something bad to happen to us, but because His commands are Life.

Remember when we were children? Our parents warned us, “Do not play with fire, or the house may burn down.” What happens if we keep rebelling?

It is the same with God. He only wants what is best for us. He wants us truly to LIVE—not merely to survive, but to live abundantly and with gratitude for all His provision.

Let us stop “transacting” with God and begin walking with Him as His children.
