DEVOTIONAL NO. 5 GOD’S PRESENCE & PLAN

In the Grip of God’s Hand

You are never alone, never beyond His protection, and never unloved.

Shalom and good morning, beloved family in Christ.

Psalm 139 is a beautiful reminder that our lives are in the grip of God’s hand—not merely in part, but entirely.

David writes:

“You hem me in behind and before, and you lay your hand upon me.”

Psalm 139:5

This sentence is not merely poetry, but a divine embrace:

“Behind”—means that God has redeemed your past; nothing is too dark to be touched by His love.

“Before”—means that God has already prepared your future, even before you arrive there.

“His hand upon you”—means that God guides you with love and power, like a Father placing His hand on His child’s shoulder so that the child will not lose the way.

And David can only cry out in wonder:

“Such knowledge is too wonderful for me, too lofty for me to attain.”

Psalm 139:6

So today, walk calmly.
Remember this with every beat of your heart:

“You are never alone. You are never beyond His protection. And you are never unloved.”

God is with you—in the light steps and the heavy ones.
Let His love be your reason to remain steadfast in faith in Christ.
