God Is Love, Part 7: If We Deny Him, He Will Also Deny Us

Paul calls this a true word, but the meaning is much deeper. In fact, this verse confirms the certainty of our salvation in Jesus, our Lord and King. In this article, we will see how Justification, Sanctification, and Glorification confirm that our salvation is safe in God's plan. Salvation is not just "entering heaven," but a journey back to the presence of God.

God's Main Goal: Dwelling Among Humans in Love and Joy

From the beginning, God's deepest desire was to dwell with people and share His joy. His plan is not just about salvation or rule on earth—but about restoring the perfect fellowship between God and His people.

Before creation, God's love was eternal, and He wanted to share that love by creating man as His family (John 17:24, Romans 8:15).

In the beginning, He walked with Adam and Eve in the garden of Eden (Genesis 3:8), showing that His plan from the beginning was to live among His creation.

Even after the fall of man, His plan remained the same—He lived in the midst of Israel in the tabernacles (Exodus 25:8) and then, Jesus came as a man to live with us (John 1:14).

Through the sacrifice of Jesus, God reconciles us with Himself, so that we can live again in His presence (Colossians 1:19-20).

In the end times, this plan will be fulfilled completely when heaven and earth are united, and God is with us forever (Revelation 21:3).

God's main purpose expressed in the entire Bible is to create a people who live in His presence, enjoy His love, and reign with Him in joy forever. This is the pinnacle of the truth that "God is love."

Our Salvation Journey: Justification, Sanctification, Glorification

Salvation is not just about believing and being done—it's a journey. The Bible teaches that salvation has three main stages:

Justification → We are justified by faith in Christ.

Sanctification → We are made to be like Christ.

Glorification → We receive a perfect body and live with God forever.

Every step in this journey has a strong foundation in God's Word.

1. Justification - Saved from the Punishment of Sin

Justification is the direct action of God, where we are declared righteous before Him only through faith in Jesus Christ. This is not the result of human effort, but a complete gift from Allah.

God's Word about Justification

🔹 Justified by Faith, Not by Deeds

Romans 3:28 - For we believe that man is justified by faith, and not by doing the law.

Galatians 2:16 - For no one is justified by doing the law, but only by faith in Christ Jesus.

🔹 Jesus Bears Our Sins

2 Corinthians 5:21 - He who knows no sin He has made sin for us, so that in Him we may be justified by God.

Romans 5:9 - Moreover, because we are now justified by His blood, we will surely be saved from God's wrath.

🔹 Salvation is a Gift, Not a Result of Effort

Ephesians 2:8-9 - For by grace you are saved by faith; it is not the result of your labor, but the gift of God, it is not the result of your work: let no one boast.

Titus 3:5 - At that time He saved us, not because of the good deeds we have done, but because of His mercy.

Summary: Justification happens once and for all when we accept Jesus. We are freed from the punishment of sin and adopted as God's children.

2. Sanctification – Saved from the Power of Sin

Once justified, we do not immediately become perfect. Sanctification is a lifelong process in which we become more like Christ and live in obedience to God.

God's Word about Sanctification

🔹 Updated from Day to Day

2 Corinthians 4:16 - Therefore we are not discouraged. But even though our external humans are getting worse, but our inner humans are renewed from day to day.

Romans 12:2 - Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you can discern what is the will of God: what is good, which is pleasing to God and what is perfect.

🔹 We are Called to Live Holy

1 Peter 1:15-16 - But be holy in all your life just as he who is holy, who called you, for it is written: Holy are you, for I am holy.

Hebrews 12:14 - Try to live in peace with everyone and pursue holiness, because without holiness no one will see the Lord.

🔹 The Holy Spirit Changes Us

Philippians 2:13 - Because it is God who works in you both will and work according to His will.

Galatians 5:22-23 – But the fruit of the Spirit is: love, joy, peace, patience, generosity, kindness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control.

🔹 We Fight Against Sin, But Not Alone

Romans 7:24-25 – I, wretched man! Who will deliver me from this body of death? Thank God! By Jesus Christ, our Lord.

1 Corinthians 10:13 - The temptations you experience are ordinary temptations, which do not exceed human strength. For God is faithful and therefore He will not let you be tempted beyond your strength.

Summary: Sanctification is a lifelong journey where we learn to live in victory over sin, not with our own strength, but with the power of the Holy Spirit.

3. Glorification – Saved from the Presence of Sin

Glorification is the culmination of God's salvation plan—when we will receive a new glorious body, free from sin, and live forever in the presence of God.

God's Word about Glorification

🔹 We Will Be Given a New Body

Philippians 3:20-21 – Because our citizenship is in heaven, and from there we also wait for the Lord Jesus Christ as Savior, who will change our lowly body so that it resembles His glorious body.

1 Corinthians 15:42-44 – So is the resurrection of the dead. Sown in destruction, raised in indestibility; sown in humiliation, raised in glory; sown in weakness, raised in strength.

🔹 We Will Live Forever With God

Revelation 21:3-4 - Behold, the tent of God is in the midst of men and He will dwell with them... death will no longer be, there will be no more mourning, or weeping, or sorrow.

John 14:2-3 – In My Father's house there are many dwelling places. If not, I will tell you. Because I went there to prepare a place for you.

🔹 We Will Rule With Christ

2 Timothy 2:12 - If we persevere, we will also rule with Him.

Revelation 22:5 – They will reign as kings forever.

Summary: Glorification is the ultimate fulfillment—we will live in glory, free from sin, and reign with Christ forever.

Conclusion: Our Journey Back to the Presence of God

From the beginning to the end, God's plan never changes—He wants to dwell among His people, share His love and joy. However, because of sin, man is separated from God and loses a perfect relationship with Him.

But God's love is greater than the fall of man. Through the work of salvation in Jesus Christ, God brings us back to Him in three major stages:

1️⃣ Justification → We are justified by faith in Jesus, free from the punishment of sin, and accepted as God's children. (Romans 3:28, Ephesians 2:8-9)

2️⃣ Sanctification → The Holy Spirit works in us, shaping us more like Christ, freeing us from the power of sin. (1 Peter 1:15-16, Romans 12:2)

3️⃣ Glorification (Glorification) → In the end, we will receive a noble body, live forever in the presence of Allah in eternity. (Philippians 3:20-21, Revelation 21:3-4)

🔥 This is our salvation journey—not just 'going to heaven,' but experiencing a total transformation in Christ! 🔥

➡ From separation due to sin to perfect recovery in glory, God himself leads this journey.

➡ Salvation is not just a decision, but a journey to true life—living in the presence of God!

➡ Finally, we will see the fulfillment of His promise: "Behold, God's tent is in the midst of men..." (Revelation 21:3).

🙏 Today, we stand in His grace. We are walking in His sanctification. And one day, we will experience His glory. 🙏

We are saved to walk with God, enjoy His love, and live with Him forever.

This is the culmination of the truth that “God is love.”

💡 Will we really go through this journey with faith and hope?
