The ground of assurance

How Can I Know I Am Saved?

Assurance does not rest on flawless performance or passing emotion. It rests on Jesus Christ, His promise, and the Spirit’s transforming work in those who trust Him.

A Scripture-centered answer

Bring your questions. Open the Word. Learn to see God.

01

Begin with Christ’s work

Salvation is God’s gift, not the reward for becoming impressive enough. Jesus’ death and resurrection are sufficient; faith receives what grace provides.

02

Take His promise seriously

God does not invite believers to perpetual suspicion of His character. The promises of the gospel are given so that those who trust the Son may know they have eternal life.

03

Look for life, not perfection

The Spirit produces repentance, love, and growing obedience. These do not purchase salvation; they are signs that grace is making us alive.

04

Bring doubt into the light

Questions are not defeated by hiding. Return to Scripture, pray honestly, and walk with mature believers who can point you away from self-obsession and back to Christ.

Whoever hears My word and believes Him who sent Me has eternal life.
John 5:24
